The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited website has crashed some minutes after announcing job vacancies for young Nigerians.
The NNPCL in the early hours of Friday announced job openings for young Nigerians via its various social media pages.

However, minutes after the announcement, the site suffered an intermittent fault that made it inaccessible to visitors.
The problem was widely commented about on social media.
ADUST TECH WUDIL on Facebook said; “What happened with site.”
Another user, Sulemzy Imam said; “Make una know deceive us Abeg,I have try the site tired it’s not working.”
Prince Emmanuel O Ukwenya wrote; “Lol…site that is not going…..this country is filled with deceivers.”
Yunusa Bello Ibrahim reacted; “Actually we all know that you are deceiving the masses! Just keep up the good job.
Meanwhile, in a fresh update, the company explained that the crash was due to a significant increase in traffic volume and assured that the process is not a scam as claimed by some quarters.
The post said; “Our team is working assiduously to accommodate the surge of applications. While we acknowledge the keen interest of Nigerians in having an exciting career experience with us, we reassure all Nigerians of a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
“We therefore encourage capable Nigerians to take maximum advantage of this unique opportunity.”
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the state oil corporation that was established on April 1, 1977.
In addition to its exploration activities, the Corporation was given powers and operational interests in refining, petrochemicals, and product transportation as well as marketing.
