Femi Onireti Unveils Date For Commencement Of 2025 Free JAMB Form For Ogbomoso Students

Hon Olufemi Onireti, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is set to roll out his annual free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms, a collaborative effort with Ogbomoso Progressive Elite Club (OPEC), for candidates seeking tertiary institutions’ admission in 2025.

According to a statement he personally signed, “the qualifying examination is set for December. This qualifying exam will allow us select candidates who will have better chances of success in the UTME. We want candidates who are relatively good and we believe through the qualifying exam we will achieve that. Our partner, Ogbomoso Progressive Elite Club is rallying to put things together for its success yet again.”

This is as he stated that the centres for the qualifying exams will be increased “in view of the rising fuel costs to improve transportation access. OPEC will announce the names of the additional centres later.”

The opportunity is open to students of public secondary schools especially the indigent among them, “we aim to expand opportunities for education among our youths and we are aware that there are many brilliant students whose parents lack the wherewithal to provide the necessities to pursue their education. Such individuals we wish to help in our own little way,” Onireti said.

Past beneficiaries of the initiative who later secured university admission were awarded bursaries of N50, 000 (fifty thousand naira each. Recall also that Miss Alabi Helen Omobola who notched the highest UTME score in Ogbomoso zone in 2023 and gained admission to study medicine and surgery at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, had her tuition of N500, 000 paid by Onireti.

He said the gesture will continue “by the grace of God,” assuring of free JAMB forms for fifty students like it was done previously, free JAMB classes and financial support to those who gain admission.

The philanthropist is involved in several other benevolent activities to help alleviate the plight of the people, the less-privileged particularly.
